March 22nd 2024
Put down deposit for Outlander PHEV on Friday 22nd March 2024. It was delivered same day before paying off the balance! I installed Remote App to test preheat facility, wrong password came with vehicle.
Premier Motors
Sent emails and SMS on Friday now Monday no reply. Mitsubishi Cirencester provided the correct password.
- Low Tyre pressure warning. All 25psi not 35
- Key fob batteries needed replacing.
- Electric heater issue. No remote heating, slow to heat up.
- No heat for 4/5 miles driving.
Remote Climate
My findings:
Remote Climate Control cannot be activated when:
- When the power switch is not OFF.
- When any of the doors, engine hood or tailgate is open.
- Once you open a door it is off.
- Quick charge is in progress.
- When the drive battery state of charge is low.
For newer Outlander PHEV vehicles: (not sure this applies)
- The battery, if not plugged into the charger, must have enough charge left to run the climate.
- Vehicle engine may start to ensure heating performance when the outside temperature is approximately 15°F (-10°C) or lower.
I tried using the Remote Climate when the Drive battery was exhausted hoping the engine would start. It did not, instead the app climate button had a spinning blue circumference as in ‘waiting for power’ e.g. plugged in charger.
Once the charging plug was in the operations resumed. Whether this 2016 Gx4Hs engine would start in the cold I cannot establish.
Wifi Password
Car never came with wifi password. Correction: There was a manual supplied and within the folder was a matching SSID and password but it is wrong. Cirencester supplied password but getting app to talk to car difficult, crashing, wont work on my phone.
Monday evening Premier rang while I was in the car fiddling to get the heater going.
26th Tuesday I receive an email from Ross, that was the lad that gave me the keys for the test drive. I sent “At last a reply” and advised him I will contact after I have showered, dressed my demented wife.
I never got a reply so I rang the main number. Louis answered and he had not read any emails or acknowledged the SMS I sent to him asking for the Wifi password, how arrogant and confrontational, stating that was his personal phone. But that doesn’t stop you acting on my request, does it!
He handed me over to Ross, his manager. What! I thought Ross was the weekend boy that cleans the cars up for viewings! Anyway Ross was a lot more reasonable. Agreed to fix the remote heating under warranty and was understanding that I didn’t want to settle the payment but politely requested on the full payment.
Bank Block
I went to login into my account and it was blocked! The high payments had flagged up SCAM like activity. I spent 40 minutes convincing security that all was legit and kosher.
11/4/24 I returned to the garage to have the heater filter replaced. The welcome from Ross was cold and shady. The mechanic took the filter out but did not have a replacement. Suggested I try, see if the heating is improved. Drove home, it wasn’t.
Null Warranty
11/4/24 I have discovered the warranty with A1 Approved does not exist. This prompted me to contact Pershore Motor Group to check if Premier Motors is affiliated. A Lady called Dawn in accounts confirmed it was.
I later decided I have had enough and called Pershore Group to make a complaint. Linda asked me to put it in an email. As I composed the email a Craig Cameron rang me to say he was the owner of Premier and director at Pershore Group (appointed Feb 2024). And that is why my bank transfers went to that account which is soon to be renamed Premier.
Prestige Trade Sales Limited
Trade as Pershore Motor Group.
He sent me an email with HSBC heading to confirm this. I told him my gripes, like the Invoice that said I OWE them money and not have paid them. He corrected that in an new Invoice he sent. I then told him the warranty does not exist, he said there might be mix up and it is Black Star. He promised to call me back next day.
Sat 13/4 Craig promised to have the car in, a pump would be ordered and a courtesy car provided. He would ring me Monday/Tuesday (15th, 16th) to confirm. Thursday 18/4 I send a text to mobile 0771 663 8502 asking for warranty number, no reply.
Friday 19/4 1pm I ring, speak to Louis again. He says Craig has not been in touch and even they can’t get hold of him, making excuses for him. Ross will ring back within hour.
17:30pm No call from Ross, but I get an email from Craig with a warranty number 632503 and nothing else. No sorry for the delay or a reference to my heater issue, just a number with no mention of which warranty company it is with.
22/4/24 A1 confirm the warranty number, Yippee!! Took car to C&G Autos for a diagnosis, promised to get back to me. 24th Spoke to Megan to chase the quote. 24/4 called in to chase it 26/4 Naomi confirmed they are waiting for A1.
27/4/24 Rang Premier, got Lewis not Craig. He said he knows parts are being sought by Craig (he mentioned heater not pump). Lewis suggested ringing again to see if Craig picks up, he didn’t.
